k enough with the n00bage

I figured if I keep posting noob photos taken with cell phones none of y'all gonna take this blog and ~*My Photography*~ business seriously (lmao) so here's some more serious stuff. This is currently my wallpaper. LOOOOVE?? ♥♥

It seems like there should be something deep and profound about this image... a turtle... on a road... I'll leave the rest to your imagination. (But in reality, a result of me playing with the camera in the car and having nothing else to shoot but the turtle.)

Hehe, for any of you that know/remember my "A Day in November" photo, this is where it was shot. :)

Alright, time to 'fess up. I don't actually own a DSLR, sadly. These were taken November 2007 while I went on a "photo shoot day" in hopes of taking better photos. This camera was a Nikon D..30? (I can't remember) and it belonged to my friend. I'm really surprised I found postable images for the few minutes that this camera was in my hand. Never underestimate the power of spontaneous art. (A principle I should apply to my drawings, really... but I digress.)

Of course, for most of that day, I shot using my weak sauce point & shoot, and ended up with only one picture I liked. Most of you probably know that image if you follow my stuff, but if not, I'll probably post all the pictures from my p&s sometime in the future. :)

(But, this is probably the last of "good photos" from me until I get a better camera. Sob.)

It's not the camera, it's the photographer *^*b If you can take good pics witha dslr you can take good pics on a normal/cellphone etc XD

DARDY! Bawww I feel ze faza love <3

I agree with what you said to some extent, even if you've got a hella good camera if the photographer sucks it's a waste. On the other hand if the camera just sucks, it puts a limit to what the photographer can do with it. :( I WANT YOUR CAMERA DARDY

I really like the third photo!

At first I was like, "What kind of point-and-shoot camera can focus like this???" ahahaha. The first shot is really pretty, but the third one's my favorite. The b&w does wonders to the image. I have a question, though: did you do some post-processing (besides the cropping/resizing/watermarking) in Photoshop? The contrasts are really lovely~

LOL @ your initial reaction

Yupyup, post-processed all of them. These three were all taken in colour actually, but some images just look better without colour. And contrast is definitely fixed, you'd be surprised at how shitty they look in its original form even if they were taken by a DSLR. Maybe I'll post the originals on LJ for you sometime. :D

You take nice photographs. :) Nevermind your weak sauce, I believe that even bad cameras can produce stunning pictures given that the photographer is talented, and me thinks that you're talentedd. ^__~

My DSLR is wasting away at a corner atm (because its stupid owner spoiled the batteries and have no cash to get new ones...). XD
